Baseball Concessions
2012 Concessions Schedule and Concession Deposit
Parents of baseball players in grades 3-8 must work (2) 2 hour shifts to receive their $35 deposit back. Families with multiple players will receive their first $35 back after (2) 2 hour shifts are completed, and their second $35 back after 2 more 2 hour shifts are completed.
NEW FOR 2012: Volunteers will sign up for their shifts via the DIBS tool on our website. When signing up for a volunteer shift, please keep in mind that you are signing up to help in concessions. Duties in which you may be assigned are as follows: grill, trailer help, prep help in main. You will be assigned to a specific duty by the supervisor who is working at that time. ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 18 OR OLDER in order to comply with our insurance guidelines.
To sign up for your shift(s): Please follow this process:
- Login to the website with your league website ID (if you don't have an ID yet, or have forgotten your ID or Password, refer to the "Helpful Info" tab on the top menu bar.
- Click on the DIBS tab on the top menu bar. This is our volunteer registration system.
- Choose your volunteer session - in this case, "Billericay Concessions"
- Review and select your shift(s) by clicking on the "Concession Worker" duty next to the date and time you would like to work.
- Select "Claim this Dib Item" and enter the additional information requested.
A confirmation email will be sent to you by the system confirming which shifts you have been granted. When it is time for your shift, please report to the main concession stand at Billericay to sign in with the supervisor, approximately 5-10 minutes prior to your shift start time.
To cancel your shift up to 7 days prior to the schedueld shift, log back in and view your scheduled shifts from the drop-down menu ID in the top left corner of the website under your profile. Remember, shifts may not be cancelled within 7 days of your scheduled shift and a reminder e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address associated with your website profile 48 hours before your shift as a reminder.
Once your shift is completed, the supervisor will record that shift as completed in our system. NEW FOR 2012: In case of cancellation due to rain, you will NOT be granted time for that shift. You will need to log back in and choose a different shift. If you suspect that there will be a rain cancellation, you must call the baseball weather line to confirm. There are games played in the rain at times and if so, you are expected to show up for your shift. The weather line will specify if there are games being played or not. Billericay’s fields are fields 43-50.
If you miss a shift due to weather or other league cancellation, you will be expected to either reschedule that shift, or forfeit your deposit. Any shift missed must be rescheduled within 48 hours. If you miss a shift for your own reasons without cancellation, your deposit may be forfeit.
